Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) are government funded programmes designed to facilitate knowledge transfer between academic units and industry partners using a graduate (in a relevant discipline) as the interface between both partners. The programme allows the industrial partner to build a programme (usually between 2-3 years) to meet their technical needs. Examples within the food sector in Wales have been diverse as the use of ozone as a decontaminant to technical culture change programmes for SME food companies.
